Surrender and Rely
Philippians 4:10-23 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity...
"I can do all things through him who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). How many times have you heard an athlete, a speaker, a performer, you name it, quote this verse? Tons, and rightfully so because it's a powerful verse. But given a little context, Philippians 4:13 takes on even more meaning and power. I love the larger, more complete message we get when we read verses 12 with 13 together.
"I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
So what do these verses reveal to you about God's provision and how He takes care of us? What do they show you about our need to surrender and rely on Him? Tami W.
