1 Thessalonians 5:12-28 We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you...
As Paul concludes his first letter to the church at Thessalonica, he gives this group a pretty healthy dose of instructions. I could really identify with Paul's words in verse 12 since I work in a ministry and I'm also involved in my church. Here Paul tells us to respect our Christian brothers and sisters with whom we labor, both as co-workers and bosses, and to "esteem them very highly in love because of their work." Wise words for us to take to heart and put into action.
We're all human which means we have differing opinions, we get frustrated, we don't always get along...you get my drift. So how do we accomplish Paul's charge in verse 12 to respect, esteem and love? What works for you? Tami W.
