Suffering Savior

today's reading.
Isaiah 53    Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed...

the blog.
If you are wanting to find out about salvation and Jesus as Savior, Isaiah 53 is a wonderful chapter to turn to because it gives a clear depiction of what Jesus accomplished on Calvary's cross. Verses 5-6 always speak powerfully to me. "But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned--every one--to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all."

Read through these two verses again but this time replace the word "our" with "my" and the word "we" with "I." Then take a few minutes to consider what this means for you. Once you've done that, I'd love to hear some of your thoughts. Tami
