Mighty in Action

today's reading.
1 Kings 18:17-46     When Ahab saw Elijah, Ahab said to him, "Is this you, you troubler of Israel?"...
1 Kings 18:17-46

1 Kings 18:17-46think about it.
What is Elijah's answer to Ahab's criticism (18:17-19)? How does Elijah challenge the people (18:20-24)? In your own words, describe Elijah's preparation and prayer (18:30-37). What examples of God's power have you seen? How has it shaped or influenced your worship? Your obedience?

the blog.
The showdown between Elijah and the prophets of Baal is one of my favorite accounts in the Bible. Every time I read it, I get fired up (no pun intended) about getting out there and "doing" for the Lord. Now the perception of the people here was that Elijah was an outcast and an underdog. But NOT SO!

So what is God asking or moving you to do? How can we get the confidence and boldness of Elijah as we go about whatever God has for us? Tami W.
