A Joyful Duo

today's reading.
Proverbs 3:13-18  Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding...

the blog.
When we talk about wisdom, right away knowledge and understanding come to mind. But what about joy and happiness? Do those words pop into your mind as well? I'm guessing not, but really, they should. Although Proverbs 3:13-18 doesn't use the specific wording that "wisdom leads to or brings joy," it certainly conveys that message. Verse 13 tells us "blessed is the one who finds wisdom" and verse 15 says that nothing we desire can compare to wisdom. And I was particularly drawn to the language in verse 17 about Wisdom's ways being "ways of pleasantness."

So what relationship do you see between wisdom and joy from Proverbs 3:13-18? What role does wisdom play in shaping your daily actions and attitudes? Tami W.
