He who loves his wife loves himself (Eph. 5:28). The wife is told one time to submit to her husband, but the husband is told three times to love his wife. That must mean it’s pretty important!

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers (2 Cor. 6:14). God wants you to be fulfilled. He doesn't want you to be miserable! And yet so often I meet people who think God really has it in for them for telling them what will and won't work well.
