Beware of Wolves
Dr. Randy White

“I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.” (Acts 20:29–30,)

American Christianity has a nice problem—chiefly, we have too much.  We’ve been trained to believe that we are to “judge not.”  It would be socially unacceptable to point out the savage wolf, so, instead, we live in political correctness, and the wolf consumes the sheep.  Men from among us have arisen, speaking things that are perverse to orthodox faith

Prominent preachers publically preach things which would have been considered heretical through Christian history, but today their books sell like hotcakes.

Paul, on the other hand, didn’t mind “naming names.”  He called out the wolves, highlighted their tactics, and warned the sheep.  We need more Pastors in churches today who will warn their sheep of the savage wolves in our midst.  Sadly, however, when a Pastor names names, he is attacked as uncaring, judgmental, and un-Christlike.  Let’s not get on that bandwagon and, rather, thank the Lord for those who have the strength to stand up for the Word of God and call out those who do not!

In His Grace,
Dr. Randy White
