Not Enough Power
by Berni Dymet

Mark 5:39 When he had entered, he said to them, "Why do you make a commotion and weep?  The child is not dead but sleeping."

Have you ever looked at a tough situation you're facing, a relationship, or money, or health- you look at this PROBLEM and think to yourself - not even God could fix this?  Ever been there?

One day, Jesus is walking along, huge crowd following Him - and the local synagogue leader - Jairus - falls at His feet, begs Him to come heal his dying daughter.

But Jesus gets distracted by some woman and heals her and talks with her.  Meanwhile, the news comes - Jairus' daughter, well she's dead.  How does Jairus feel?  Let down by God?  Powerless?  Lost?  If only….You and I both know that feeling.

But Jesus says - "Come on let's go."  He goes to Jairus' home - kicks everyone out, and raises the little girl back to life.

What is it that makes us think that Jesus who created the whole universe - doesn't have the power to deal with our problems?  However big they are.

Jesus never criticized anyone for having too much faith.  Never.
