Win Some, Lose Some
by Berni Dymet

Song of Sol. 2:15 Catch us the foxes, the little foxes, that ruin the vineyards— for our vineyards are in blossom.

If God is God - then anything He promises us - well, He can't lie, He can't fail - He has to deliver.  Doesn't He?

You know so many people kind of believe in God's promises - you know when Jesus promised us peace and joy and an abundant life - but somehow it doesn't seem to pan out that way.

And we worship God and on the outside people can think - "Wow there's someone who's passionate about Jesus".  But on the inside - there's a little compromise here.  A little selfish gain.  A little dishonest deal.  No one's going to notice.

Can I tell you something - without a shadow of doubt - those little things, seemingly insignificant things - will rob us of the promises of God.  Because He's far more interested in who we are - than in what we have, or who other people think we are.

As a wise man once wrote - it's the little foxes that spoil the vine - even when things seem to be in full bloom.
