Is Anybody Out There?
by Berni Dymet

Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.

Father God - I…well, I think you're out there.  But I'm not sure.  I know I should be sure.  But I'm not.

Maybe I should be - but it's just where I am right now, OK?

And I need your help.  I never thought I'd say that.  I always thought that, that, I could do life my own way.  But somehow - everything seems empty.  Hollow.  I don't know why that is.

But more and more inside - I feel the same way.  And somehow God, I just feel like talking to you today.  It feels kind of weird talking like this - I don't even know if you're there.

But if you are - can you please answer me?  Can you please help?  Can you please fill this hole inside of me that no one else seems to be able to fill?  Can you just somehow let me know that you're out there?

Like I said - I'm not sure if you're out there…..I'm just not sure…but something, something tells me that you are.
