Abiding Above Tension-Part 5

January 8, 2015

We must be in Christ to be on praying grounds. Now in John 14:6“ Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

If you are living a life of tension, my friend, and you have not yet entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ, you cannot pray through Christ because you’re not in Christ. God would have you realize that you are a sinner and you need a Savior and God will save you and put His Spirit within you. Paul said in 1 Timothy 2:5“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,”

Here you are on planet earth for a short time and then you are going to be gone. Now that you have believed and received the Lord Jesus Christ and you have entered into a relationship with Him and you are walking, talking, listening to Him, and you are now praying without ceasing because you’re in fellowship and communion with Him day-by-day. Who are you praying to? You’re praying to God the Father, you’re praying through the mediator Jesus Christ who died for you and as you, and who baptized you into Christ and Christ came into you.  He’s your mediator between you and the Father. And so if you’re a child of God, if you’ve entered into that relationship and you’re in Christ Jesus, my friend, when you’re in a whole lot of tension and you pray it’s not that He might not hear, He hears you my friend!
