The Believer’s Consecration Of The Christ Life-Part 1

July 8, 2014

What is rededication? For most people, the act of rededication is an act of coming to God to an altar or even a church pew, expressing to God that we are going to do better in our Christian lives to live as a Christian should live. We recommit to try harder than ever before. We make promises to God that we are going to read our Bible, we’re going to be a soul-winner, and we’re even going to hand out tracts. In essence we are saying, “I am going to do better.” My friend if we are not careful, our act of rededication is an act of dedicating to the flesh. It is a dedication to “self,” and in all sincerity we really mean what we are saying, but we all know how it all ends up…we don’t do very well. Instead of rededicating to God what He already sees dead (the flesh (self)), we simply need to surrender to God and say it is not I, but it is Christ living in me.
