The Right College
According to a financial journal I kept during my first year away at college, I spent $2,500. By starting with junior college, my entire college experience cost me less than $8,000.
When I graduated, my starting salary was $13,500 a year; a respectable return on my investment.
Unfortunately, much has changed. According to the College Board, the average cost of an in-state four-year public college degree now exceeds $100,000! The average college graduate earns $50,000. The numbers get much worse if you choose a private or out-of-state university.
In Luke 16:10, Jesus taught, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”
A good steward recognizes that in today’s world selecting the right college is more important than ever to maximize your return on your investment.
