Priorities and Personal Peace

A magazine called “More” released a study that revealed that 65 percent of college-educated women aged 35-60 prefer to have more free time in their lives than making more money. 40 percent even said they would take a pay cut in exchange for more time flexibility!

Work/Life rhythm has obviously become more important to many women. Our work should be balanced with God’s priorities for our time, rather than chasing greater wealth. Pursuit of riches can be costly to our relationships and peace of mind.

Ecclesiastes 4:6 teaches, “Better one handful with tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.”

As you juggle the many demands on your time, don’t overlook the value of peace that comes from embracing God’s priorities. Love your family more than wealth.
