Thoughts for the Day
Most of us know the right thing to do—we just don’t always do it. There is a constant tension between what is comfortable now and what is right in the long run. When stress, fear, or pain are present, that tension grows even stronger.
Poor choices rarely appear overnight. They form slowly, decision by decision, until they shape patterns that are difficult to break. Over time, we may find ourselves stuck in cycles that harm us and those we love.
Yet awareness brings hope. God does not expose our struggles to shame us, but to invite us into freedom. Change begins when we acknowledge the patterns that are holding us back and ask God for help in choosing a better way forward.
Consider This . . .
Freedom does not begin with perfection—it begins with honesty. One courageous decision to turn toward God can interrupt a long pattern of self-defeating choices. God meets us with grace at every crossroads.
Lord, You know how often I choose comfort over wisdom. Give me clarity to recognize the choices before me and courage to do the next right thing. Help me walk a path that leads to life.
In Jesus’ name…
