Scripture

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:27 NIV

Thoughts for the Day

Every healthy relationship begins with remembering who we are and whose we are. Before we are single, dating, engaged, or married, we are people created by God and made in His image.

That truth gives every person value. It also gives every relationship purpose. We are not called to use people, control people, or build relationships only around attraction or emotion. We are called to honor God in how we see others, how we treat others, and how we make decisions.

When we understand that both men and women are created by God, we begin to approach relationships with humility, respect, and care. We stop asking only, “What do I want?” and begin asking, “What does God desire for this relationship?

Consider this …

A relationship built by God starts with identity, not insecurity. When you know you are created, loved, and valued by God, you do not have to look to another person to complete you. You can enter relationships from a place of purpose instead of need, wisdom instead of impulse, and faith instead of fear.

Prayer

Lord, help me remember that I am created in Your image and deeply loved by You. Teach me to see others with honor and respect. Guide my relationships so they reflect Your purpose, wisdom, and love.

In Jesus' name. . .
