Is Jesus Your Ark of Safety? - Love Worth Finding - January 10

January 10, 2023 – Is Jesus Your Ark of Safety?

Genesis 7:15-16

Sermon: 2215 The Days of Noah, Part 2

Pray Over This

“And they went into the ark to Noah, two by two, of all flesh in which is the breath of life. So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.”

Genesis 7:15-16

Ponder This

God brought Noah into the ark and God shut the door. As the water began to rise, those who’d been laughing at Noah and those who’d been mocking Noah now began to wonder, “What is this?” After a while, when the water got up to dangerous proportions, they surely came and began to beat on the door of that ark and say, “Noah, let us in,” but it was too late. God had shut the door. God shut out the water, and God shut out these people who laughed and mocked and scoffed. And God shut His people in.

There is an Ark of safety today. His name is Jesus. If you will come to Him and put your faith in Him, I promise on the authority of the Word of God, He will change you, He will transform you, and He will give you joy unspeakable and full of glory. You may ask yourself, “What if it costs me?” Well, when Noah drove that last nail into the ark, he may have had nothing left, but when he came out of the ark, he had inherited the Earth.

I’m telling you—it pays to serve Jesus. If you’re not saved, you need to get saved. I mean get saved, not just become a church member. You need to be born again. Jesus is the Ark of safety. If you put your faith in Him, He will save you.

  • What are some areas where you need a reminder that Jesus is your Ark of safety?
  • How have you been transformed by Jesus?

Practice This

Remind a fellow Christian who is struggling that Jesus is the only Ark of safety.
