Pas the Day - July 4, 2020

  • 2020 Jul 04

For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing. (Acts 17:21)

The Athenians can be viewed in two ways: as intellectuals or pseudo-intellectuals. They desired to know the “newest news.” This was their attempt to come up with something newer than what was new. Yet, no news is newer than 200 years of church history and systematic theology. According to Ecclesiastes 1:9, “nothing is new under the sun.” Jesus Christ is the fulfillment—the final revelation of God forever. So, their request for something new would be fulfilled with something old, yet still relevant and new.

Pas the Day May 2020 offerThese are the “in-between” times of life – much like the season we’re experiencing now. And however long they last, they define life itself.

In Living in the In-Between Times, Pastor Ralph Douglas West brings the story of the Old Testament prophet Samuel to life, showing you how God speaks in your “in betweens” and what it looks like to live faithfully in these seasons of waiting and wondering.
