So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said, “For now the LORD has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” (Genesis 26:22)
It was the promise of the prosperity of God that caused Isaac to move. Isaac was so prosperous that the land was unable to sustain the weight of his wealth. Therefore, God provided a name that matched up with Isaac’s prosperity. Isaac dug wells until he struck the water’s surface, providing refreshment for all to drink. Likewise, sometimes you have to dig deeper and deeper until you strike water. When you locate the water’s surface, dig some more to let the water flow.
God will finish the good work He’s begun in you
