Layered Significance

today's reading.
Ephesians 2:8-10   For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God...

the blog.
Today we learn that our importance, our significance to God, flows all the way down to our work. Ephesians 2:10 tells us "We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." How cool is that, that each and every one of us--according to God's plan--has good work to do? I love this verse because it lets me know that God didn't just create us on some whim or simply because He could. He created us to be in relationship with Him and with a definite purpose.

So after reading Ephesians 2:10, what does the work you do for the Lord show you about your identity and purpose in Christ? What are those good works God has put before you to accomplish? Tami W.
