No Defeat

2 Corinthians 4  Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart...

Paul begins and ends 2 Corinthians 4 with the declaration "we do not lose heart," and in between these bookend statements he delivers a message of hope for our daily living for Christ. Yes, we will experience hardship when we follow Christ, but God is in control and He has us covered.

  • Afflicted--but not crushed
  • Perplexed--but not driven to despair
  • Persecuted--but not forsaken
  • Struck down--but not destroyed

To repeat Paul, "So, we do not lose heart" (verse 16).
