In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

It’s very easy to complain about what we don’t have or how bad things are in our lives instead of being thankful for what we do have.

Let me ask you, how many times a day do you thank God for the blessings in your life or the assurance of eternity you have with Him?

And—by contrast—how many times do you complain about what’s wrong in your life and what you wish you had?

Do the math! I think—if you’re honest—the results will surprise you.

God gives us specific directions on how we are to live:

First, live with an expectant attitude. Are you living as if Jesus could return today? Live every moment anticipating His arrival.
Second, live with a grateful heart. Every day, carry with you an attitude of gratitude and praise
Third, live with a sober, serious mind. Remember that there are people in your life who still don’t know Jesus. Live your life in such a way that they will want to know Him.
Finally, live with a confident hope. If you’re a believer, live your life knowing that your future is secure!
