Time with God - Aug. 26, 2010

Thursday 26th August

Job 33

For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it.  In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction.  In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man, He keeps his soul back from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword. (New King James Version)

When God speaks we should look for His good purpose!

In this passage we see Job being rebuked by Uriah. He is telling Job that God speaks in many ways but Job might not be listening for the right way.

God is reminding us today that He can speak in many different ways, but the one thing we must realize is that He has a good purpose for us. "To turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man…" No matter what God is saying, you can rest assured that He has your best interest at heart. He longs to keep your "life from perishing".  What has God been trying to share with you?  Ask Him to open your ears, so you can perceive it. What is stopping you from committing to Him completely?  Today is the day.  Talk to God today about anything that is stopping you from following His perfect plan for your life.
