Isaiah 66:1-2

Thus says the LORD, "Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest? For My hand made all these things, thus all these things came into being," declares the LORD. "But to this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word."

In spite of God's greatness, He will pay careful attention to the person who is broken in spirit before Him!

Picture a majestic Being sitting among the stars and resting His feet on the earth. From that perspective would you even be able to see or notice the individual people on earth? No, they would be too small to even make out. They would be like microscopic organisms to that Being.

That is the picture God gives us of His greatness. And yet He makes a startling statement to us today. He says that He will still notice and reveal Himself to and bless the life of the person who acknowledges their own insignificance and whose spirit is broken before the God that they so desperately need.

If you are that person and you respond with instant obedience and respect to God's word to you, then God's attention is drawn to you, and He will look on you in great love.
