2 Corinthians 5:17-20

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”

One of the biggest reasons you are on this earth is to carry on Jesus’ ministry of leading people around you into a right relationship with God!

This passage just reiterates what Jesus said to us in his final commission before leaving earth, when he gave the Great Commission. If God’s purpose for you were simply to love him deeply and glorify him fully, then he could have taken you straight to heaven when you were born again. Why did he leave you here? To share Christ with others!

Who are the people in your life who do not yet know Christ? People at work, in your neighbourhood, at college or university, on your sports team? Could you start a spiritual conversation with one of them this week and see where God takes it? Take a risk. Aren’t you glad someone told you?
