"Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
James 1: 4, New International Version

Consequence #6: "A Complete Wholeness in God."

"Complete" - Entire. Intact. Whole

Will I invite God to completely fulfill His purpose in my life?

"When our eyes see our hands doing the work of our hearts, the circle of God's creation is completed inside us, the doors of our souls fly open, and love steps forth to heal everything in sight."
Michael Bridge

"And ye are complete in Him."
Colossians 2: 10, K.J.V.

Today, as you reflect on the wholeness God longs to bring into your life, it is my prayer that you will begin to realize, in a very personal way, that through the gift of God, we can, not only find, but contain the completeness we so desperately long for.

I believe this prayer, written by Jo Carr and Imogene Sorley, conveys the longing in our hearts for Heavenly fulfillment.

"Lord, I search for some sense in life.
I look for some tomorrow when I shall see - and know.
And then life will begin to have pattern and meaning.
But what I have is today:
I see dimly, I know little, and life is very ordinary.
So I wait for tomorrow, dreamily, and allow my today to slip by.
Vague anticipation of fulfillment some day
robs me of the only day that is truly mine.
Lord God, you have called me to live in the now;
air castles aren't for real; life is.
If this were the only day I had on earth,
what would I do with it?
This is the only day I have right now; I dare not waste it.
Lord, keep me keenly, sharply aware
of the immediacy of my living.
Keep me vitally awake this day.  Amen."

"O God,
I feel I have been sleepwalking my way through life;
Waiting in woman's land
For something significant to happen;
For someone to come and lead me to the Real Life.
Alone, I have felt insignificant,
Unable to take control of my own life;
Not sure of what my life is.
Help me to wake up
And measure my present realities;
Who I am, where I am, and what I can be;
To kiss Sleeping Beauty goodbye once and for all
As I learn to put my trust in You."
