Benghazi and the IRS Scandal: Trouble Piling Up for the Obama Administration

Things are getting a little hot for the Obama administration. The talking points about the Benghazi terrorist attack were massaged 12 times to expunge them of references to terrorism, so the president could claim his order to kill Osama bin Laden effectively neutralized al Qaeda.
Then we hear -- shades of Nixon and Watergate -- that the Internal Revenue Service has been giving extra scrutiny to tax-exempt organizations with "tea party" or "patriot" in their names. They also have been looking into Jewish groups that are strongly supportive of Israel. And the administration claims to strongly support the Jewish state.
One of the articles of impeachment of Nixon had to do with his illegal use of the IRS to get at his political enemies. The chairman of a House oversight subcommittee has demanded the IRS turn over all relevant documents by tomorrow. Virginia Republican Congressman Frank Wolf wants Speaker John Boehner to name a special committee to put people under oath and get the facts on all of this. He should.
