Chris Pratt Lists Jesus among His ‘Things I Can’t Live Without’

Actor Chris Pratt loves Jesus, and he's not afraid to say so. The Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy star said as much in a recent playful Instagram post where he applauded his hair, makeup, and wardrobe team -- his glam team -- while listing the "Things I Can't Live Without." Jesus was among them.
The 46-year-old actor, known for his wit and not-so-serious take on life, said the following are his must-haves: Oxygen, Organs, Blood (my own), Gravity, Jesus, Food & Water, NFL, My Wife & Kids, Bass Fishing, My Glam Team.
"Just the essentials," he wrote.
He quickly followed up: "Family first, always. Don't overthink a fun post, please!"
Pratt is one of the more outspoken Christians in Hollywood. He told The Christian Post's Leah Klett earlier this year that he feels called to be "that city on the hill at this moment in my life." He cited Matthew 5:14.
"You take a risk, I think, being in the entertainment world, being vocal about anything that's divisive -- and religion is divisive, and so is politics. I don't care enough about politics to take a stand one way or another at the expense of my career. But I do care enough about Jesus to take a stand, even if it costs me. If it costs me everything, I don't care," Pratt told The Christian Post.
"It's worth it to me because this is what I'm called to do. It's where my heart is. I'm a father of four. I want to raise my children up with an understanding that their dad was unashamed of his faith in Jesus and with a profound understanding of the power of prayer and the grace and the love and the joy that can come from a relationship with Jesus. That's something that's really important to me.
"Anybody really close to me knows that already, but as people are learning that about me, it's an interesting thing, because you don't hear that from a lot from people in entertainment, but it's who I am."
He added, "I'm not going to hide behind it. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. So to get back to Matthew 5:14 -- that's what it is."
Pratt also is known for his roles in a series of children's animated movies, including The Garfield Movie, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and The Lego Movie films.
