Elon Musk Affirms Belief in God as 'Creator'

Billionaire Elon Musk affirmed God as “Creator” in acknowledging that the universe did not come from nothing.
Appearing as a guest on "The Katie Miller Podcast" on Tuesday, Musk briefly spoke of God during a conversation that touched on the now defunct Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), AI, and other topics.
"Who do you look up to the most?" asked Miller, who is the wife of presidential advisor Stephen Miller and served as a spokesperson for DOGE from January through May of this year.
"The Creator," Musk said, which prompted Miller to ask him regarding his position on God.
"God is the Creator," he said.
Miller asked, "You don't believe in God, though, do you?" Miller asked, to which Musk replied, "Well, I believe this universe came from something. People have different labels."
Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX, previously made comments regarding his growing views on Christianity.
Earlier this year, he encouraged his millions of X followers to attend church following the death of Charlie Kirk.
“Go to church,” wrote Musk at the time, who had reposted a message from Kirk’s widow, Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk.
At one point, however, Musk quipped that he was ok with going to Hell.
“Thank you for the blessing, but I’m OK with going to hell, if that is indeed my destination, since the vast majority of all humans ever born will be there,” Musk wrote on X back in 2022 in response to a user who encouraged him to confess in a creator.
During a 2024 interview with psychologist Jordan Peterson on the Daily Wire, Musk identified himself as a “cultural Christian”, a label previously used by atheist Richard Dawkins, who in 2024 lamented the loss of Christian culture in the United Kingdom amid an increase of Islam.
"I would say I'm probably a cultural Christian," Musk told Peterson that year. "I was brought up as an Anglican, and I was baptized.”
Earlier this year, Musk contended that Western civilization is "absolutely screwed if it loses Christianity."
