G3 Ministries Appoints Scott Aniol as New President after Josh Buice’s Exit

Dr. Scott Aniol was named the new President of G3 Ministries, a reformed Baptist organization, following Josh Buice's departure earlier this year.

"G3 exists to glorify God by educating, encouraging, and equipping God's people with biblical truth for faithful living. I am deeply committed to maintaining our firm stand on first-level doctrinal matters while modeling gracious engagement on areas where faithful brothers may differ," Aniol, a professor, author, and church elder, said in a statement.

"My desire is that G3 would continue to be a trusted resource for pastors and churches and a platform for amplifying the voices of ordinary men who faithfully labor in the Word week after week."

Buice, who founded G3, was removed as its President while his church, Pray Mills Baptist Church (PMBC), removed him as an elder in May after it was revealed that he slandered fellow pastors and PMBC elders, using anonymous social media accounts.

Aniol currently serves as Professor of Pastoral Theology at Grace Bible Theological Seminary, PhD and Master of Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS), and Master of Music in Aesthetics from Northern Illinois University.

He also serves as an elder at Pray Mills Baptist, has more than two decades of pastoral experience, and previously served as executive vice president and editor-in-chief at G3 Ministries since 2021.

According to Church Leaders, G3 credited Aniol with expanding the organization's work and guiding the growth of the G3 Church Network to over 200 churches "united by a shared commitment to the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession." As an author, his books include "Biblical Foundations of Corporate Worship" and "Citizens and Exiles: Christian Faithfulness in God's Two Kingdoms." He is married to his wife, Becky, and they have four children.

The appointment was announced by the Board of Directors, who also commended Aniol for his leadership.

"We are pleased to announce the promotion of Scott to President. This is a recognition long overdue for his exceptional leadership and faithful stewardship over the past four years. We are excited to see him fully assume the mantle of leadership and continue advancing the vision and mission of G3," Jonathan Frazier, Board ChairmanG3 Ministries, shared in a statement.

Laramie Minga, G3 Director of Operations, said the following about Aniol.

"I've had the privilege of serving under Scott Aniol's leadership for the past three years and have seen firsthand his integrity, theological clarity, and steadfastness. His commitment to the local church and to the mission of G3 is unwavering. I am confident that under his leadership, G3 will continue to flourish and remain a trustworthy resource for pastors and churches," Minga said.

Joel Beeke, chancellor of Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, and frequent G3 speaker, called Aniol "multi-gifted for leadership and personal relationships in promoting the biblically conservative Reformed faith," adding that the new President is "highly qualified to steer G3 in biblical and godly ways that will aim for the glory of God, the maturation of believers, and the salvation of the lost."
