There are some prayers we wish we only had to pray once.

Instead, we find ourselves saying:

Lord, here I am with this again.

The same worry.

The same fear.

The same financial pressure.

The same family concern.

The same unanswered question.

We surrender it sincerely.

Then something happens.

A tuition bill arrives.

A deadline moves.

A conversation takes an unexpected turn.

A familiar fear reappears at four in the morning.

And before we realize it, we have wrapped our arms around the burden again.

That kind of repetition is exhausting.

Sometimes we assume the exhaustion proves the battle itself is too difficult.

But perhaps part of what is wearing us down is that we keep trying to carry something God has already told us belongs in His hands.
