Veronica Neffinger wrote her first poem at age seven and went on to study English in college, focusing on 18th century literature. When she is not listening to baseball games, enjoying the outdoors, or reading, she can be found mostly in Richmond, VA writing primarily about nature, nostalgia, faith, family, and Jane Austen.

Singer Britney Spears recently made news when she responded to a critical comment by fellow singer Katy Perry by quoting a Bible verse.
According to HelloChristian.com, while Perry was attending Sunday’s Grammy awards, she was asked why she recently had taken a break from music.
“It’s called taking care of your mental health,” Perry responding, while also shooting a barbed comment at Spears by adding, “I haven’t shaved my head yet.”
The head shaving comment was a reference to Spears’ period of erratic behavior in 2007, including shaving off all her hair, which some allege was a way to cover up for her drug abuse.
Instead of responding by lashing out at Perry, however, Spears posted a Bible verse and an uplifting picture:
Spears also recently tweeted out requests for prayer for her niece, Maddie, the daughter of her sister and fellow singer, Jamie Lynn Spears. Maddie was in critical condition after the all-terrain vehicle she was riding fell into a pond and the eight-year-old was trapped underwater for two minutes. Her condition is reportedly much-improved and she is out of the hospital.
