CBS Making Sitcom Called ‘Living Biblically’

CBS will be premiering a new sitcom called Living Biblically which follows the journey of a man who tries to live out all the Bible’s commands literally.

According to Relevant Magazine, the new series is based on the book The Year of Living Biblically by A. J. Jacobs which explores Jacobs’ own journey with following every command of the Bible “as literally as possible.”

The show will closely follow Jacobs’ story as a modern-day man who spent 12 months following biblical rules, including detailed rules of the Old Testament. Jacobs ultimately concluded that, though he describes himself as non-religious, through following the Bible’s rules, he realized that the Word of God can truly change one’s life.

The show will be produced by Johnny Galecki who produced The Big Bang Theory.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that this show is one of a few new shows which attempts to appeal to heartland America Trump voters whom many in Hollywood and the media have overlooked in the past.
