ISIS recently released a list of 1,700 U.S. citizens, mostly churchgoers and religious individuals, who they allegedly intend to target in attacks.

According to ChristianToday.com, the terrorist organization called those on the list “crusaders” and reportedly released the list so that the individuals on it would be targets for ISIS supporters in the U.S.

Those on the list include Christian and Jewish religious leaders. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security gave security briefings to those named on the list.

The list was discovered on July 3, and since then, however, there have been no known ISIS or ISIS-inspired attacks in the U.S.

This is not the first time ISIS has released a “hit-list,” aimed at scaring citizens. In May, the terrorist group released a list of 3,000 New Yorkers and revealed it had details about their lives.

The terrorist group is also adept at hacking into systems that were assumed to be secure. They have even shown that they have the ability to access files belonging to the CIA. ISIS has published the information it has hacked from these reportedly secure forums.
