“Duck Dynasty” star Sadie Robertson and Grammy-winning musician Lecrae shared their personal testimonies at a mission event in Georgia that attracted over 7,000 youth. Christian Today reports the event, put on by RUSH Ministries (Reaching Unchurched Students for Him), led over 900 youth to commit their lives to Christ.
RUSH co-founder Marc Pritchett said that the ministry leads students to Christ through events like this one that feature concerts and Christian celebrities.
"They realise not only is being a Christian fun, not only is it cool, but also, eternal hope is sandwiched within all that stuff. Ithink that's probably the reason why we see so many kids come to Christ rather than at a Christian festival – we reach them first, if that makes sense,” Pritchett said.
"Then we present the Gospel. They let their guard down a little bit, and when the Gospel is preached, it does what it does. No one can take credit for that except certainly Jesus. We speak that out and it goes out and is received."
The event in Georgia also featured TNT Ministries founder Tony Nolan, Christian singer Kristian Stanfill and Christian band Building 429, according to The Christian Post.
