When can I get the glory?
Pastor Daron Lindemann

Getting all the glory means taking the stage, along with the spotlights, away from every other performer. The audience focuses nowhere else, and the world stops just for a moment.

It could be a masterful solo piece during a concert or a thunderous alley-oop dunk during a NBA playoff game.

The gospel writer John announces, “We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). He’s talking about Jesus, who provided some world-stopping moments, to be sure.

But for Jesus, glory is not just about the thrill of a moment. All of Jesus’ work and all of his person are the glory of God, including his most humiliating experiences. It’s the glory that serves and saves sinners.

God’s glory is found in the least who look to him for salvation and in the ill-equipped who believe against all odds that his words are true. If your career or other callings don’t feel glorious, you’re looking for the wrong glory.

God’s glory is found in everyday things, the mundane, and in the unnoticed acts of your kindness. God’s glory is found in your loyalty to your team, your determination to squelch gossip instead of spreading it, and even in the daily grind that most of the work world complains about but not you.

God’s grace and truth, believed and practiced, take the stage away from everything else. How will you glorify him today?

Matching Grant doubles your gift!

A generous donor family that’s excited about taking the timeless truths of God’s Word to more people has offered a $50,000 Matching Grant—to encourage friends like you to help match it in full.

This Matching Grant will make your gift today worth TWICE as much to help take God’s Word even further through television into areas of our country where the good news of gospel freedom is needed most.

When you give, we’ll say thanks by sending you a copy of our new book, Made for Friendship. It’ll give you insights from God’s Word to help you embrace the joys and negotiate the challenges of your friendships to make them the best they can be.

Double my gift to spread the gospel!
