No Brainer?
By Rick Boxx
July 11, 2011

An anonymous donor offered our congregation an amazing gift. The giver desires to buy us a beautiful existing church building for a satellite facility, and provide for the upgrades and 18 months start up expense.

At first I thought, “This is a no brainer, it barely needs prayer.” Then I remembered that’s what Joshua thought about defeating the nation of Ai. God had promised victory over the Promised Land and affirmed it with the Jericho victory.

So they forgot to ask God before battle and they were defeated. They didn’t realize Achan had sinned and brought a curse on the Israelites.

Luke 15:6 teaches, “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”

If even Jesus prayed about all things, shouldn’t you and I as well?
