Passionate Work

Anyone who has ever spent much time with my father quickly realizes how passionate he is about repairing cars and lawnmowers. Even though he's been retired from the assembly line of General Motors for over 20 years, he still lights up when he's talking about the latest car owner he was able to help or some lawnmower experience.

It's easy for us to talk and get excited about those things of which we are deeply passionate, but when we try to engage in activities of which we have little interest, it can be challenging and less fruitful.

Colossians 3:23 teaches, whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.

If you desire excellence in your work, look first to those things you love to do.
