Pas the Day - August 27, 2019

  • 2019 Aug 27

. . . when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high . . . (Hebrews 1:3)

Here, sin is seen as defilement, which makes the unregenerate unfit to be in the presence of a holy God. But Christ did all that was necessary by His death on the cross to take away this defilement. Now we can stand before God as those who have been cleansed. After His resurrection, Christ ascended to heaven and took His seat at the right hand of God, expressing the fact that His redemptive work was done. Furthermore, Christ’s seating at the right hand indicates that He has all authority to rule over the kingdoms on earth.
