Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, . . . (Psalm 100:4)
As brief as it is, this psalm has the crack of the imperative about it. Seven times there are words of exhortation: shout, worship, come, know, enter, give thanks, and praise. Some of you would say, “I just don’t feel like shouting for joy.” But do you realize that the Word of God does not leave praise and worship of God up to the changing nature of your emotions? Thanksgiving is commanded. It is ordered. It is mandated. It is an imperative that we shout, worship, come, know, enter, give thanks, and praise

Be challenged by Romans

Romans doesn’t let us sit still. In Romans, Paul talks about the obligation we are under to spread the truth of the Gospel and to engage with the culture around us. He talks about the journey we must make after we accept the God’s gift of salvation. We are called to leave our comfortable and easy corners and spread the message of Christ’s sacrifice to everyone around us, because we have been freely justified!
