So I said good-bye to them and went on to Macedonia. (2 Corinthians 2:13b)
Paul said good-bye to Troas and traveled to Macedonia. He re-routed his entire itinerary because there was no one to go with him. In the same way, I cannot go through the door of opportunity by myself because I am but one person. We cannot tell what would happen if we refuse to go together through the open door. There will be two very different pictures of our communities, depending on whether or not we walk through that door together. It will either be a bright picture of new life or a dark picture of despair.
In Living in the In-Between Times, Pastor Ralph Douglas West brings the story of the Old Testament prophet Samuel to life, showing you how God speaks in your “in betweens” and what it looks like to live faithfully in these seasons of waiting and wondering.
