. . . and behold, a throne set in heaven . . . (Revelation 4:2)
Is there a throne in heaven? How we answer that question actually determines the way many of us live our lives. If there is no throne in heaven, no moral compass, no ethical guidance, or no God who is supreme, then the words of the scientist Carl Sagan are right: “The cosmos is all there is, all that was, and all that will ever be.” If there’s no God, then he’s right and what he says matters. But if there is a throne in heaven situated in the center of the universe, then that is all that matters.
In Living in the In-Between Times, Pastor Ralph Douglas West brings the story of the Old Testament prophet Samuel to life, showing you how God speaks in your “in betweens” and what it looks like to live faithfully in these seasons of waiting and wondering.
