Today's reading: Galatians 4:8-20
The people we spend time with and follow after will influence our thinking and actions. That's why guarding our hearts and equipping our minds with God's Word is so very important. When we take in God's truth, it builds us up spiritually and gives us strength to stand firmly and with assurance when we encounter situations that contradict how God desires for us to live, such as false teaching (people preaching and advocating things contrary to what the Bible tells us).
Take a minute to think about the people you regularly spend time with--friends, coworkers, family, classmates. How are these people influencing your thinking and actions? How are you influencing them? How does having God's Word in your mind and heart help you stay grounded when you encounter people with viewpoints and opinions that are contrary with what God tells us in the Bible? Tami
