Proverbs 13:24 Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him...
think about it.
Why is discipline an act or proof of love? What problem is discipline meant to help with (22:15; 23:13-14)? What's the upside of godly discipline (29:15)? What happens if we fail to discipline?
All our verses today talk about and deal with discipline of children. Now I'm no longer a child when it comes to my physical age, but I am a child of God.
So what do these verses reveal to us about God the Father? How can we draw on and use what we see here as children of God? Tami W.
