Canadian Pastor Missing in North Korea

A Christian pastor from Canada has been reported missing in North Korea.

Rev. Hyeon Soo Lim, pastor of Light Korean Presbyterian Church in Toronto, has travelled to North Korea for mission work hundreds of times. Lim’s associates said that they lost communication with the pastor after he was invited to the capital Pyongyang.

According to Christian Today, some of Lim’s mission work was connected with Jang Song-Thaek, North Korean president Kim Jong-Un’s uncle who was executed for treason in 2012.

Rev. Chun Ki-Won, who directs an organization for North Korean refugees said, "As far as I know, he was asked by officials to come to Pyongyang on January 31 before he went incommunicado. We're worried the invitation to Pyongyang was somehow related to his ties to Jang."
