Chris Pratt, Katherine Schwarzenegger Welcome Their Second Daughter: 'We Feel Beyond Blessed'

Hollywood actor Chris Pratt and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, announced the birth of their second daughter on Sunday.

As reported by Faithwire, the couple posted nearly-identical statements on their social media accounts with a post of their daughter's name and date of birth, May 21, 2022.

"We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt. Mama and baby are doing well. We feel beyond blessed and grateful.

Love, Katherine and Chris," the statement said on Instagram.

The news was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from fans and other celebrities in the comments.

"We are so blessed. Bravo, congrats, lucky Eloise," Maria Shriver, Pratt's mother-in-law and wife to Arnold Schwarzenegger, wrote.

"Congrats, brother! Sending love and light to y'all!" commented actor Zachary Levi.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s firstborn, Lyla Maria, was born in 2020. Pratt also has a 9-year-old son, Jack, with his ex-wife Anna Faris.

In August 2020, around the time of Lyla's birth, Pratt posted several Bible verses on Instagram, including Psalm 126:3 and Psalm 127:3-4.

Psalm 126:3 reads, "The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." 

Psalm 127:3-4 says, "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate."

In an interview with E! News last year, Pratt shared that he is open to having as many children as God allows.

"I would love to have more, as many as the man upstairs will provide," he said. "We'll do it. I'll probably have to talk to Katherine about that, but my plan is, let's go."

Pratt, a professing Christian, has starred in several television shows and movies, including Parks and Recreation, Jurassic World and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. He will reprise his role as Star-Lord, or Peter Quill, in the upcoming film Thor: Love and Thunder.

Pratt has previously faced criticism for his Christian faith and membership at Zoe Church, a church in Los Angeles described by actor and LGBT activist Elliot Page as "infamously anti-LGBTQ."
