A woman who had a child at 16 has shared her testimony, claiming that God spoke to her when she went to Planned Parenthood to get an abortion. The woman, known only as Donanne, wrote that she got pregnant at 15 and followed her boyfriend’s advice to get an abortion.
She was terrified, but went to Planned Parenthood without telling her parents, according to Life News.
When she went to the clinic, Donanne asked to see the ultrasound screen, but the technician said, “it would be better for [you] not to.”
Donanne cried and prayed on the abortion table. It was then that God answered her.
“All of a sudden time stopped and God was telling me to get up and leave and that everything would be ok. So I did,” Donanne wrote.
“I told her that this was crazy and I wasn’t going to kill my baby. She looked at me like I was the crazy one. I then grabbed my stuff and I left.”
Donanne went through with the pregnancy, giving birth to a son on May 10, 2002. Though the pregnancy was difficult and she lost many friends, Donanne said that her son was a blessing.
“Without God giving me this baby I don’t know if that would have happened; I was going down a bad dark road,” Donanne said.
