Johnny Depp told a crowd in England that “maybe it is time” an actor assassinate a president again.

"When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?" he asked, referring to the death of Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth in 1865.

"It has been a while and maybe it is time,” he told a crowd at the Glastonbury Festival in England.

According to TMZ, the crowd mostly cheered.

Depp was at the festival to introduce his 2004 film, The Libertine.

He isn’t the first celebrity to joke about President Trump’s death.

In May, comedian Kathy Griffin posed for a photoshoot with a bloody Trump head replica. She publicly apologized, but she was fired by CNN from its annual New Year’s Eve broadcast.

Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg made a video where he, a President Trump clown named Ronald Klumb, is assassinated with a toy gun. Trump said the rapper deserved “jail time” for the video.

Also, recently, in New York City, a production of “Julius Caesar” showed the Roman dictator depicted as Trump being stabbed to death on stage. Several major organizations withdrew their funding for the play, but the theater has still stood by its interpretation.
