What We Feel

October 15, 2013

“…who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” - 2 Corinthians 1:4

I am absolutely certain that coming to know God as He is will bring comfort and peace to every troubled heart. My friend, we must be honest with ourselves. We are very spoiled, very selfish, and very self-centered and self-directed. Let’s go ahead and admit it so we can move on. It is not a question of understanding ourselves, in knowing what we are or what we do or what we feel. It is only a question of becoming acquainted with God and getting to know what He is and what He does and what He feels. Comfort and peace can never come from anything we know about ourselves, but only and always from what we know about Him.
