Dedicated to Being Different - Saturday, April 8th 2017
"When these things were done, the leaders came to me, saying, "The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands..."
As followers of Christ, we should look at everything; our time, our talents, our money, our resources, differently than others. In fact, we should look at everything differently than we did before we came to know God. Why should it be different? Because, we are not the same person we used to be. We have a different world view than we did before we met Jesus. In short, our faith should impact every aspect of our life.
It's been said that you can see someone's faith by looking at their day planner or calendar. You'll see priority on church, fellowship & the serving of others. You can also see someone's faith by looking at their checkbook because we spend money on things that are important to us. If Christ is important to us, should our wallets, time and energy not reflect that? As you prepare for your day, spend a moment asking God to change your priorities to His priorities. Lay down your plans and allow Him to lead you into deep fellowship with Christ and into a life dedicated to being different.
Life Lesson: Christians (the real deal, born again variety) are supposed to be different than other people in the world.
Open my eyes to areas in my life that I am holding on to. Help me to surrender those areas even if it means thinking or acting differently than I have in the past. Continue to change me so that I better resemble Jesus. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Living to tell what He died to say,
